KAZBUILD 2021 AND AQUATHERM ALMATY 2021: THE TRIUMPHANT RETURN TO OFFLINE EXHIBITIONS.

From 7 to 9 September, the Atakent Exhibition Center in Almaty successfully hosted two of Kazakhstan's largest exhibitions for construction, HVAC and HVAC industry professionals - KazBuild 2021 and Aquatherm Almaty 2021.

Despite a break in exhibitions, difficulties with logistics, border crossing, and new rules for attending and participating in exhibitions, the exhibitions were attended by 231 companies from 15 countries: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, UAE, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and South Korea. As usual, it was a pleasure to see so many international exhibitors - two National groups from Germany, a National Stand from Slovakia, and collective stands of 44 manufacturers of building and finishing materials, and engineering equipment from 10 regions of Russia. Ambassador of Slovak Republic in Kazakhstan Milan Kollar noted, that such international events promote strengthening of economic relations between countries, which eventually positively influences their economies, and it is a priority goal for all governments during current crisis period. Consul General of Germany in Almaty Mario Zoos emphasized that the very presence of German companies at the exhibitions proves the interest of the Federal Republic in the Central Asian Region. “Kazakhstan's economy, in particular the construction industry, is booming, and we do see potential for cooperation in the medium and long term. In addition, many international companies are exhibited at KazBuild and Aquatherm Almaty, and for us they are also interesting as potential partners,” Mario Zoos added.

 

news2During the three days of the exhibitions, 2,347 Unique Visitors visited the exhibition, which confirms the interest in the exhibitions and shows the importance of offline events for the further development of the construction business in Kazakhstan. According to the visitor survey, exhibitions provide an opportunity to learn about trends, find useful contacts and share experiences with colleagues. Alexander Silantyev, head of OSP SU Stroytrest 9 JSC from Belarus, explained that the exhibition was very useful and simply necessary for the development of the construction industry. “On the very first day we found promising options for business partnership, exchanged contacts and are already at the stage of discussing the contract details,” said Alexander.

Taking into account the steady growth and active development of the construction industry in Kazakhstan, the exhibitors were able to provide high-quality content for their expositions, showcasing innovative and practical solutions in the construction, HVAC and AC industries.

KazBuild and Aquatherm Almaty Business Program highlighted the most topical issues of further development and maintenance of rapid growth. Professionals in the field of architecture, construction, design, HVAC and AC industries were able to attend numerous master classes by the Association of Designers and Architects of Kazakhstan, topical seminars of exhibitors Weconn Ltd, Premiere, Turan Carpets, seminars by KAZGOR Design Academy and Kazakhstan Union of Architects.

For the first time at the KazBuild 2021 International Construction and Interiors Exhibition, a Kazakhstan Conference of Builders Union, Future with Us, was held. The conference brought together over 70 participants, 5 speakers and foreign guests including the “Belarus Builders Union” (Belarus), suppliers of equipment for brick production COSMEC (Italy), equipment suppliers for concrete production ANTON OHLERT (Germany). “There is a lack of 242 thousand people in the construction sector of the country. Kazakhstan loses 500 billion tenge annually because of the shortage of workers, as every day of downtime brings losses,” said Talgat Yergaliyev, Presidium Chairman of the Kazakhstan Builders Union. The final session on “Construction Market Analytics and Industry Further Development” aroused particular interest among the conference participants.

 

Traditionally, the AVC Engineering Conference (Moscow) was held for the 4th time at Aquatherm Almaty for HVAC professionals. This is the only platform with a unique number of top HVAC industry experts in the CIS countries. The topic of the conference in 2021 was “High-tech Engineering Systems for Buildings & Facilities”. 10 speakers from the leading members of HVAC and representatives of companies-members of the Association shared case studies, innovative solutions in the field of water supply, heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

news5Exhibitions were held with full observance of sanitary and epidemiological requirements. Exhibitors and visitors were equipped with individual PPE and antiseptics, there was full monitoring of the number of people in the pavilions and social distancing, and the entrance to the exhibition was possible only through ASHYQ App and by online pre-registration. The safe business space was also appreciated by the Exhibitors. Varvara Zarubina, Specialist of the Export Support Centre of Autonomous non-profit organization Udmurtia Republic Development Corporation (KazBuild 2021 Exhibitor) noted full compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards, both at the entrance and inside the pavilions. Climat PROF Kazakhstan LLP, General Director Andrey Bych, exhibitor at Aquatherm Almaty 2021, commented on their participation: “In the context of the environment and limitations under which our country lives in, our company has fulfilled 100% of its goals and objectives for the exhibition. We have signed several long-term partnership agreements and found a huge number of new contacts. The organizers have done their best to ensure the safety of the exhibitors and visitors and the enthusiasm of the visitors was high, as there was no show last year. And this year the exhibition was held again, and we met many familiar faces who were happy to meet each other, and a sufficient number of new visitors, which shows that the efforts of the organizers were not in vain”.

The organizer of the events is Iteca Kazakhstan Exhibition Company. SARIO, the Slovak Investment and Trade Promotion Agency, is a partner of KazBuild 2021. Official support for the events is provided annually by Almaty City Administration (Akimat) and industry associations.
