INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AT KAZBUILD 2024: KAZAKHSTAN AND JAPAN ON THE WAY TO NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
FROM SEPTEMBER 4 TO 6, 2024, THE 30TH INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION AND INTERIOR EXHIBITION - KAZBUILD 2024 WILL BE HELD AT THE ATAKENT EXHIBITION CENTER IN ALMATY, KAZAKHSTAN.
This year, the exhibition celebrates its anniversary, becoming a unique site for exchanging experiences, establishing business contacts and promoting innovative technologies and materials in the field of construction, architecture and design.
KazBuild 2024 broke records for the number of participants, occupied space and country representation. Exhibitors are more than 300 participating companies from all over the world. Among the participants of the exhibition is the Japan Association for Trade with Russia and the Newly Independent States (ROTOBO), which is actively working to develop trade and economic relations between Japan and the CIS countries. Today, the ROTOBO association has 100 members, including well-known Japanese industrial and trading companies, banks, research institutes, media, regional administrations and other organizations.
Central Asia, and Kazakhstan in particular, occupies a leading place in the activities of the ROTOBO association. The interest of Japanese manufacturers in the Kazakhstan market is due to the significant growth in trade turnover between Japan and Kazakhstan, which by the end of 2023 alone increased by 13.8% and amounted to $2.2 billion.
At the KazBuild exhibition, the ROTOBO Association will be represented by such companies as Hokkaido Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, Interactive Corporation, JK Holdings Co, Nissin Corporation, Tairiku Trading Co. LTD, Toyo Trans LLC and others. Their participation will give a new impetus to the existing trade and economic relations between the businesses of the two countries and create opportunities to expand the pool of potential partners.
According to Mr. Daisuke SAITO, the Director of the Institute of Economic Research for Russia and the Newly Independent States of the ROTOBO Association, the association’s participation in the KazBuild exhibition symbolizes the common willingness to deepen and expand cooperation between the business communities of Kazakhstan and Japan, as well as to seek new opportunities for joint projects. “We thank the organizers of the Kazbuild exhibition for the opportunity to hold a presentation of Japanese companies in the field of construction technologies. We will present Japanese construction technologies to a wide audience of visitors. This is the first major event in the field of cooperation between Japan and the Central Asian countries in the field of construction technologies. Unfortunately, Japanese construction technologies are not very well known in the Central Asian countries, although Japanese cars and household appliances have long been recognized. In recent years, interest in Central Asia has been growing in Japan. We hope that through participation in the exhibition we will get to know each other better, and this will allow us to establish joint business”, noted Mr. Daisuke SAITO.
As part of KazBuild 2024, a rich business program will take place. In addition to the plenary session dedicated to BIM technologies and artificial intelligence, there will be a number of seminars from participating companies and industry associations. ROTOBO Association experts will share successful practical cases during their seminar on the topic: “Japanese construction equipment for Central Asia: an offer for cooperation”. Japanese companies are ready to share their experience in the field of project management, the introduction of modern technologies and improving the efficiency of construction processes.
KazBuild 2024 promises to be a significant event for all participants in the construction industry, providing unique opportunities to establish contacts and expand business horizons. The Japanese ROTOBO Association is looking forward to the exhibition and is ready to contribute to the success of the event, strengthening trade and economic relations between Japan and Kazakhstan.
The Japanese Association for Trade with Russia and the Newly Independent States (ROTOBO) is officially supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.
