LARGE WINDOW FORUM AT KAZBUILD 2026: NEW DEVELOPMENT BENCHMARKS FOR THE INDUSTRY AND MODERN INSTALLATION TECHNOLOGIES

FROM 2 TO 4 SEPTEMBER 2026 IN ALMATY, AT THE ATAKENT EXHIBITION CENTRE, THE 32ND KAZBUILD 2026 WILL TAKE PLACE.

It is the country’s largest specialised platform bringing together manufacturers and suppliers of building materials and equipment, developers, designers, architects and representatives of the professional community.

A special place in the exhibition’s business programme will be given to a series of specialised events for representatives of the window industry and the fenestration systems market. The programme will combine professional discussion of current industry development issues with practical demonstrations of modern installation technologies. All events in this section will be held in Pavilion No. 8 of the Atakent Exhibition Centre.

The key event of the first day, 2 September, will be the Large Window Forum — an industry communication platform for interaction between representatives of government agencies, the construction sector, manufacturers and suppliers of fenestration systems, specialised organisations and market experts.

The first part will open with the industry panel session “Kazakhstan’s Construction Industry: New Market Rules and the Development of Domestic Production”, organised by the ALE “Self-Regulatory Organisation ‘Union of Construction Industry Enterprises’”. The central topics of discussion will include the development of domestic production of building materials, products and structures, improving product quality and safety, enhancing self-regulation, technical regulation and standardisation mechanisms, as well as developing state support measures and strengthening cooperation between the state and industry business.

The expert discussion will involve representatives of relevant government and industry bodies. The agenda will include the new Construction Code and the development of the building materials market, industrial policy priorities, improvement of national standards, requirements for testing and confirmation of product characteristics, as well as the use of domestic building materials in estimate-based pricing.

The second part of the forum will focus on practical aspects and current issues of the fenestration systems market. In the format of a battle-style presentation “10 Causes of Future Problems in Multi-Apartment Construction: Irresponsible Window Installation VS the Truth and Proper Technologies”, experts will demonstrate common mistakes in window installation and present professional solutions aimed at preventing them and ensuring reliable operation of the structures.

The programme will continue with a construction insight by Alexander Kitaev-Smyk, founder of SHKOLA OKNA+. As part of the presentation “Checklist for Assessing an Architectural Solution from the Moscow Urban Development Complex”, 12 current trends and 52 renders of completed and planned residential complexes will be presented, together with a professional assessment of the implemented architectural solutions.

On 3 September the professional programme will continue with the international festival “Montazhnik Show. Chief Installation”, dedicated to craftsmanship and responsibility in the installation of fenestration systems. Unlike the expert discussion format of the first day, the event will focus on the practical component and visual demonstration of professional installation technologies. The programme will centre on the supervised installation of a standard window, a large window and an outward panoramic portal. All stages will be accompanied by professional commentary and analysis of technological solutions, allowing specialists to learn directly on site about the specifics of working with different types of fenestration systems.

Holding a specialised industry programme as part of KazBuild 2026 will make it possible to bring together strategic and applied agendas on one platform — from government regulation, standardisation and the development of domestic production to technologies that directly determine the quality, safety and durability of fenestration systems.
