THE MOST TOPICAL ISSUES OF THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY AT THE ANNUAL KAZBUILD 2020 EXHIBITION

The ambitious start of the autumn 2020 exhibition season in Kazakhstan will be the 27th International Building and Interiors KazBuild Exhibition, which will be held on September 8-10, 2020 at the Atakent Exhibition Center.

For 26 years, the exhibition has established itself as an effective tool for promoting products and services in the construction market of Kazakhstan.

KazBuild 2019 has demonstrated tremendous results:

• 78% of participants are international companies, who were searching for partners in Kazakhstan and Central Asia;
• 4,167 specialists from 34 countries visited the exhibition to learn about industry innovations and find products for their business development;
• 12 collective expositions from Russia presented their products and services. It was a record number of participants with “collective” stand during the whole history of the exhibition;
• During 3 days, 60 professional seminars were held by the industry experts;
• 6 special events took place within the framework of the exhibition, among them are: B2B nogetiations of manufacturers and Leroy Merlin, Perspective Design Contest for young specialists, School of Architectors and Designers, and so on.

In 2019, 270 companies from 22 world countries took part in the KazBuild exhibition.

Participants of KazBuild 2020 exhibition present their products by the following sections:

• construction and construction materials;

• finishing materials;
• interiors;
• ceramics and stone.

The following companies have already confirmed their participation in KazBuild 2020: Alcotek, Eglo, FINN LOG HOUSES, Fores, Nedex, Hafele, Huntsman, Profil House, Qazaq Mining, Simargl Door Factory, Tikkurilla, Beryozastroymaterialy, Technonikol and others.

The year 2019 has also demonstrated tremendous results in the construction industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 11,076.1 thousand sq. meters of total area od residential buildings were commissioned in our country at the end of 2019. In January-November 2019, 1,276.2 billion tenge was allocated for residential construction, which is by 23.1% more than in January-November 2018. Most of the new residential buildings were commissioned in Almaty: 1.4 million square meters meters, which is 15.6% of the total area in Kazakhstan Also, a record amount of annual investment equal to 1 trillion tenge was attracted to housing construction, which is 22.4% higher than the level of 2018.

A new impetus in the active development of construction industry will be given by the large-scale project “New Silk Road”, which will turn the country into the largest business and transit hub between Europe and Asia. In 2020, the volume of transit cargo through the republic should increase by almost 2 times.

Given the increasing positive dynamics in the development of the construction industry in Kazakhstan, the organizers predict an active increase in the exposure and relevance of the event in the coming years. KazBuild Exhibition has demonstrated itself as an efficient business platform, which gives an opportunity to learn about innovations from manufacturers and suppliers, expand market, establish and maintain business partnership.
The KazBuild Exhibition is being held with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akimat of Almaty city, the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event is also supported by professional associations of Kazakhstan: Association of Builders of Kazakhstan, Association of architects, designers and other professional participants of construction industry, KazGor Design Academy, International Union of Arcitects and Designers, IDEAS Club of designers.
